Hi All,

I am 2 sleeps away from getting beastie out on the road!!

I noticed that she is rather smokey... and this could be from a number of things. She has been sitting for quite some time, and I want to get a few tanks of diesel through her with some good conditioner/cleaner before I start trying different things.

In the mean time, i have been reading alot about adjusting the fuel pump. From what I can figure reading the 2H/12H-T manual... you adjust the "FULL LOAD STOPPER SCREW"... is this correct fellas?

One more quickie question... I am assuming it is OK to use Dextron III ATF in the tranny? Manual says DexII.

Thanks

Steve

Yeh I made the same adjustment on my toyota hiluxsurf pump, got the fuel emissions down to zilch almost (0.8) and sailed thru our test here.

You do realise that as you wind out the adjuster the engine becomes progressively starved of diesel so she starts to idle slower and slower and will cut out if you turn the screw too far.
