For a 2f carb you want to pull out your choke to the fully closed position. The clearance from your choke valve to bore should be 1.3mm or 0.051 inches. I hope this helps.

1974 is the year, it is an Asian carb but not sure if it is from Trollhole but looks very similar

Is 1974 a 1.5 or 2f? Do you have a picture of the carb?

It is raining here today, I will take and post tomorrow, but prob cant get one on the linkage behind the carb but will try. Thanks.

Fuel system adjustments--fast idle---from FSM for 77 FJ40--if it's a 2F-should be the same.
Appears the choke breaker linkage is missing also, but that prob doesn't matter--
Doesn't look like an Aisan carb--Float bowl jet access bolts are a little off, and secondary diaphragm housing looks to have an off normal gusset.
