I did a thing. Added Carlinklife’s 12” android radio to the GX. Truthfully, I am skeptical of these types of products but after getting it dialed in and figuring out the issues, this has changed my mind...for now. The unit has been responsive and I have not yet run into any issues after successfully installing this unit. I have been fully testing this for a full week as well as taking a 4.5 hr round trip on the road and haven't had any weird bugs or crashes. I will report back in the comments if I have any issues in the future and also report back for long term use. I made an install video below that addresses those issues, please feel free to watch it and don’t forget to like and sub!
Link to the install video:

Every GX460 owner knows that Lexus has not changed the infotainment system since 2010. Since Lexus has launched the 2022 GX460 with the new infotainment system, it leaves a lot of room for desire for anyone who owns a 2021 and older GX460, especially having CarPlay. Enter CARLINKLiFE. They have made an infotainment that looks identical to the new 2022 GX460s but with the power of Android running the software. If you're familiar with Android and their software, then you're aware you can customize it to your desire and have the ability to add any app you want either from the Playstore or by simply downloading any APK file.
Yes, I'm very aware that there are many other competitors on the market but what separates CARLINKLiFE from the rest is their customer support. They have been very responsive to all my questions and concerns within a timely manner and that is huge when it comes to any product in this segment. If you're interested in this same unit, use code "EDDY50" to save some cash at the checkout.
BTW What sold me on this unit was the physical fan controls and the ability to play CarPlay using all my apps from my phone! Oh, and everything works as it should from the steering wheel controls to the parking sonars 🙌🏼.

Not to be that guy, this seems like an ad more than a random person post since this is your first post and "carlinklife" has both lower and upper case in the post. Thank you for the video and write up regardless!

BUT, having said this, GX*Bob on YouTube loves this thing so that's legit. My biggest question is this. Is there a matte screen protector you can get for it? That's my #1 gripe with these Chinese headinit replacements, the screen is too glossy and had way too much glare. I had one in my GX470 that was so bad you could never see it during the day.

They did not give me advertising fees. I just saw a video from GXBOB's YouTube channel. Due to many people's feedback that the reverse camera is not working, the airbag light cannot be turned off. I just did some installation testing of their product. They've fixed it and everything is working fine, and hopefully any GX460 owner who has questions about it will be aware of this matter.

No worries brother.

I'm still curious about the matte screen protector.

Airbag light on the gauge cluster?

Airbag light on the gauge cluster?
The airbag light just needs a resistor, and the rear cam needs be to set from pal to ntsc I assume as all these units share that same problems and fixes.

Curious if ebay protectors for the MY22-23 work on these? They are all capacitive screens.
I'm sure there's got to be one that works.

Do you still have to use the screen to turn on/off A/C? If so, it doesn't completely fix the issue with climate controls.

Some of the benefits of these systems over stock 10-23 headunits:

1) You can run a gammit of apk files from different sources. So if you dont want ads on youtube, or you want to offline youtube music podcasts/other streams you can install and natively run newpipe. If you have a bluetooth obd reader, you can download torque pro or like app and basically live scan your and monitor gx system vitals.

2) 360 camera install. Beatsonic has a great front camera option, but some of these devices, you can piggyback an additional 3 cameras like the oem mtm, or take it a step further and use their feed for a dashcam purpose (although truth be told their camera sensors are hot garbage). In addition you could also run wireless cameras (run them off switched battery power), and then they can transmit via wan to a app on the headunit.

4) If you use a fancy aux panel switch with bluetooth capabilities...headunit as an aux switch.

3) Dashcam footage retrieval if you have a standalone unit that has an associated app.

There are probably more options I'm leaving out, but the headunit isnt just a source of infotainment. That being said, the biggest thing working against these units is integration and qdr. I dont like that I have to rip out my factory installed dash, factory hardware and install this unit that may give up the proverbial goose at any time.

is it worth paying extra for the android upgraded OS
To piggyback on this, i'd ask how stable the upgraded os is, and if the system does need a reset, is the reset procedure easy and something that can be done without tearing the dash again.

I was just getting ready to pull the trigger at $700, until I realized it is $1200. Not sure I can justify that. I think I will go with the already proven Beatsonic.
