ive been debating the best tow hitch solution for a while now. I have a class 3 that I took off because it ended up dragging so much on the trails I’ve done. But I do realize it is a great recovery point and I do need to be able to mount my bike rack eventually.

So I thought one of these might be my best option. Except a 2000 did not come with the hole in the crossmenber to mount it. Though it does have the bolt holes and the welded nuts on the back side. If I simply cut a hole in the crossmember this should bolt right up and be a good solution right? Any thoughts on this?

I've actually thought about this same thing. I just hate losing the clearance for a tow hitch. I don't tow anything crazy heavy, just a utility trailer. This would be perfect.

Ya same here. Clearance, light towing, recovery point and bike rack attachment are all I need.

anyone else have any input or done this before? want to install a hidden hitch mount from an 03-05 in a 2000.
