Actual Tire Sizes

I am trying to collect the ACTUAL sizes of some tires. Help is much appreciated.

Please list your actual measured size and the manufacter specified sized.

The actual measured should be on the ground and on the spare.

You may add your tires too if you wish.

There's a few ways to measure this...

Almost new Goodyear MTR 33x12.5x15 at 35psi
across the tyre (horizontal) 800mm (31.5in)
Ground to top of tread on front (2F) 792mm (31.2in)
Ground to centre of hub 392mm = rolling diameter 784mm (30.9in)

Any way you measure - it's nowhere near a 33in tyre! I'll go to 35x12.5x15 next time & hope for about a 33in tyre...

Bah! You got screwed. My 33 BFG Mudders are 32.75 inches.

The interco website has a chart with actual tire dimensions for all the different swampers. I'm too retarded to post an actual link, but it's there! My son just got 36x14.50x16 TSL radials for his old Dodge which are 36x14.3- pretty close but a 38x15.5x15 is only about an inch taller at 37.1x15.2- definately pays to research this.

My E load BFG A/T 285-75-16's measure within mm of the specs provided by BFG, pumped to 45 psi and supporting the weight of an HDJ81. They are pretty close to new, about 10% wear or less.

about 29.75" tall by 10" wide.

are 31 by about 7.5 at the tread. Skinny.

The Q 78s I had were 35 inches tall mounted on FJ 60 wheels, Skinny too like 9.5 iches or so.
