Me and a gang drove from the UK to the Atlantic end of the Pyrenees, then wheeled all the way along them to the Mediterranean Sea.

3057 miles in 15 days - quite tiring. The final leg of the journey - Barcelona to Wales was 1050 miles.

OK - here's some pic - not so many of mountains coz they all started to look like, well, mountains after a while - scenery overload lol

Leaving Dover - note the strange Dutch lady

nice!

what's it like to try and do wheeling around there? lots of open trails or hard to find places to go to?

Our guide had wheeled there several times.

The trails were easy to find - in fact there was many many miles of them - we could have spent months checking them all out.

The Spanish authorities actively encourage people to go up into the mountains and use the place - not like in the UK that's for sure

good to know but surprising. I have been told repeatedly in Spain that they are closing many (all in some areas) dirt roads to all non-direct residents. Big fines for infractions too. Quite a few people I have talked have basically given up on dirt bikes and 4wd. But maybe it depends on the province?

We were in the Basque, Aragon and Catalunya regions.

I too had heard of trails being closed but saw none of it. Our guide assured us we were not about to have our trucks impounded and that was the case!!!

Maybe it depends if the police officer had got out of bed the wrong side? Who knows.......
