Is this an active club? Im in tampa. Still waiting on my LC but would like to join a club with other enthusiasts.

This is a brand new club in Tampa bay. We're very active. Joining is easy, just list yourself in the member directory. We're having a meetup next week.

I found a 2001 in GA. Waiting for it to arrive this weekend.

I would not limit yourself to Florida. Its hard to find a LC here...at least it was for me. You will have better luck finding LX's if you are okay with those.

FJ40 is preferred but I just want a solid cool older land cruiser. The 40 looks like a jeep but more solid.

I don't have much experience with the 40's yet but give me time. I think Craigslist is a great starting point, combined with some quick research and cash on hand. You can also try the MUD classifieds.
