The last time I used AC in any vehicle was never, so I was wondering if I can pick-up any lost horses or economy from remving at least the belt that drives my 3B 's AC pump? I realize it must free-wheel when not in use, but isn;t there some parasitic drag?

not enough to worry about, want more power then youwill need to poney up for a turbo, i'm afraid......

There is a benefit to running the AC in wet weather...By running it when you are defrost you will keep all the seals happy, defrost the front and side windows quicker, and....dry the interior air (recirc).

There is a reason many manufacturers have the AC come on automatically when you go to defrost.

I thought that feature was to keep the gas companies happy. I never drive White Righty without the windows down, even in light rain, but I ride a motorbike 99% of the time anyhoo.

Just wondered if I could glean another 1/2mpg.
