Where can I get a new one? Is it a dealer only part? The PO cut off the fitting at the firewall... All the box stores (napa, autozone, etc..) don't seem to have it.

Thanks
Chris

I bought a universal one at a local AC rebuilber shop for ~$32. Might want to check you local shops.

I can get the one from the guy I bought the rest of my AC stuff from but he won't have it for a week. Any other ideas?

Hi,
Can you give me the year of your 60? I show a low pressure switch for '87-'89 (it may fit other years-I'll have to check) that I sell for $9.31 + freight. It has male 3/8" thread, with 2 male spade connectors. I can send a picture in the morning, so you can see if it looks like what you're after.
Thanks,
Rex

Its an 83 and I have no idea if it was ever converted. I bought the truck with a chevy 305 in it and no AC parts. The only thing there was the under dash unit with only one hose through the fire wall. The other hose (which is the pressure switch) was cut off. I bought all the AC parts from a parts rig. I am making a custom mount for the toyota compressor on my 4bt.

Are the underdash parts you have factory or aftermarket? It sounds like you need the small diameter (liquid line) hard line going from the expansion valve to the drier? I'm sure you could find one in the classified, as that's a dealer only part. I know of an '85 being parted close by-I'll see if he has any of the A/C stuff left.

I have no idea if they are aftermarket or factory. I would assume they are factory but the PO mangled stuff pretty good. I have a local guy getting me the part from his parts rig so i am covered. I was hoping to get it earlier (hence the question of where to buy new) to be sure I am ready for a big road trip in a week but even so I should be ready for the trip. I may call the dealer just to see how much new runs. I'm in albuquerque where coincidentally cdan and american toyota are located!
