ABS sensor--is it a tuned pair????

Hi Guys..

Does anyone know if the front ABS sensors are in fact a matched pair? what i mean is are they tuned to each other and have a specific resistance to work and therfore have to be replaced as a pair? The reason I ask is I want to know If I can splice in a new one.
The dealer told me that I have to buy the whole harness and both sensors as the come all toghether, I cant just buy a sensor?
it $800 bucks. I would just rather get one from a wrecker and splice in a new one.

whats the story there?

They are not tuned together, completely independent. You will have no problems splicing in a new sensor.
