How does one remove the ABS ring off a birf without damage? I was thinking of freezing the birf and applying heat to the ring with a puller. Anyone have any luck with this method or is there a better way?

What about using a brass drift and work your way around. Should work put may take a little time.

You can do it many way, with a brass drift, a big flat chisel type of drift, a press with a bearing splitter. I have used all these methods with sucess. these rings are not very tight. care must be used with any method not to screw anything up. later robbie
