Ok Guys now that I fixed my radio problem I got another.. My ABS light came on. Can any one help me with the reset process. I just reset the battery for 30 seconds and that did not work. What are the things I need to look for or how can I reset the ABS light

Oh Oh!

I don't think there is a way to reset the ABS light. ABS light is on when ABS is not working (if you are using a rear locker or in case of ABS failure).

Regards
Samo

Clear ABS DTC

Connect terminals Tc and E1 of Check Connector (in engine bay) and remove the short pin (normally inserted in bottom right corner).
Turn the ignition switch on.
Depress the brake pedal 8 or more times within 5 secs.
You can now read any DTCs on the ABS Warning Light, but if everything is OK, you get the Normal Code (on-off blink with 0.25 sec intervals).
Revert Check Connector to normal.

More info on reading codes PLEASE, can you read other codes by a similar method?

I got the ABS light one morning in 60 MPH 4 lane boston traffic. Of course I was in the far left lane. A minute later no pedal. I'd shelled out the right rear pads, the piston blew out, noticed the noise the night before and had ordered new rotors and pads online.
Emergency brake only, the butt cheeks were tight before I got to the far right lane.
If that light goes off, find out why ASAP The booster pump on the ABS can purge the whole system of brake fuild faster than you can blink.
I down shifted, pulled on the em brake with both hands and coasted to a stop. Shifted to low range #! and limped down the shoulder.

I just got the same lights on too. Where is this "check connector" located, I've looked all over inside the engine compartment. I've got a 2000 LC. Thanks.

Hello there,

I followed your procedure and the lights went out but after about 10 meters of driving it came back on. I just used a wire to connect e1 and tc tc took the pin out and tapped the brake pedal 8 times within 5 seconds. Can you please advise me what I have to do next. I tried doing the process again but this time it blinks 3 times then 2.5 sec and then 3 times within a 1 sec and then 2.5 sec one blink. what does this mean?

Sounds like you've got yourself a fault or two so heres the DTC deciphering list to get you started. I think you're saying you are seeing 3s and 1s? which point to wheel speed sensors. If you're having trouble making sense from the flashing sequence you'll need to get hold of a code reader that is specifically capable of reading ABS codes, as not all do, or take it to a dealer for a code scan, assuming you don't have Techstream yourself.
