You really should have that rotor resurfaced…
thanks again gents.
o'riellys seems to be the go to around here for resurfacing rotors but they needed to send me to the one north to do these since they didn't have the machine for this size.
anyway by the time i got talking to the guys at the shop i ended up buying a new one.
the seal is here but i'll wait til monday to pick up the seal and the rotor st the same time and hopefully get it buttoned up next week.
i learned a ton so definitely appreciate the help here. 💎👊🏽

IME I wouldn't bother to turn those rotors assuming they aren't warped or too thin, run a wire wheel then sand them a bit to give the new pads something to bite into.

FWIW I've replaced pads many times on rotors which often had some grooves, the new pads just wore the rotors down flat again.

Not to mention that the cost of turning rotors these days is about half the cost of new rotors (used to be $5-10 to turn a rotor, now ~$40 each out the door in my area). IMHO the choices are either replace the rotors with new OEM (because it's all apart and not waste money on turning the rotors) or just slap on new pads and run those rotors for another 100,000+ miles.
hey man. i wanted to just run them and would have happily done as you suggested but one of the guys at o'riellys thought it was too deep and too wide to even resurface.
anyway i have a decent price and a decent hookup for parts so i get the weekend off and i'm not going to complain. THANKS 🙏

thanks a ton to everyone here.
on the ABS light and the caliper binding it turns out i somehow managed to not seat the inner race for the inner bearing fully. i used cut old races to do this and the other side is sort of deep so i assume i got distracted flipping races around on the outside race or something.
anyway the easy way to tell next time is the ABS sensor should be about 1.5mm off the teeth on the hub. if it's larger than that you probably have a problem.
i also bought a new rotor so thanks a LOT for the help there.
lastly rick clued me in to bleeding brakes a second time with the vehicle on so i did this by cracking the bleeder valves a hair, attaching the hose to a jig filled with brake fluid, and pumping the brakes. then i had this stick in here for a minute and a half and closed the bleeder. worked really great and finally good to go.
i'll also admit to having calipers swapped left to right accidentally. the olds ones came off with L and R strips but i admit ti mixing them up. this one is easy since i is one the bleeder valves need to be at the top. for some reason i got to pre-fitting them and i thought they were handed and would only go on one side.
THANKS GENTS
