Hello all,
I'm having some fun lights pop up today. I haven't driven my 100 in three days or so, started it up to pull into the middle of the driveway to install the snorkel and the battery, abs and brake lights all went on as well as the airbag light for a minute.
I drove it around a parking lot next to my driveway, they stayed on, and I pulled back in and here's a quick summary:

Turned truck off.
Turned back on, no lights.
Put it in reverse, battery light pops on.
Put in park it goes off.
Put it in drive, give a touch of gas and battery light, abs and airbag light go on.
Put it in park and they go on and off.

Checked the battery connections and nothing is loose. Battery is one of the Toyota TrueStart that came from the dealer, it's marked 5/15 so maybe it's just going. Never had any experience with them previously.

Put the reader on and zero codes come up.

Asking for opinions because I've heard the ABS issue is $$ if it's going. Also I don't need to be driving this wonderful heavy pig and go to stop and nothing happens. Never had brake issues. (New pads and rotors all around when I baselined a year ago and all has been good until now.) Trying to avoid a tow to the shop but if I have to I have to.

Maybe (hopefully) just go get a new battery? Or don't bother and get the shop to check things out?
Any info appreciated.
Bryan

**Edit: I did have doors open for a while the last 2 days as I was working on the roof rack, might've put a drain on it, but in the past no codes have popped up. I'll sit and let it run for a few and see if that helps...

Battery

Finished snorkel install. Driving it last night for an hour and no warning lights on, but today the battery light is on almost all the time. So now I'm definitely thinking replace it. Also hoping it's not an alternator issue.

Does sound like battery, but a 5/15 battery should be good. Often, when batteries are installed the post are not greased, which they do need to be. They will build a thin gray coating, that reduces current flow. If your post are dry, try cleaning (male & female ends) with a wire battery cleaning brush, sand paper, steel wool or just scape off the gray until nice and silver looking. Then apply white lithium or dialectic grease works best, but any kind will due in a pinch.

Also check the battery for any bulges or damages and I would also recommend getting it tested.

Looks normal. If I can find my multimeter I'll try and test it and the alt. If not I can stop by my shop and have them check it real quick. If it's the battery I'm open to suggestions. There's an Interstate dealer nearby and their MT7 AGM looks nice.

If you have a Napa, go with them. They sell rebranded East Penn/Deka batteries which are some of the best known in the industry. Interstate is ok, they're manufactured by Johnson Controls but have had some quality control issues lately.
