I just finished the Mojave Road (used Lo gear a few times), but after a day or so...the ABS and DIFF LOCK lights are lit up EVEN when X-fer case is in HI. The truck continues to run fine at normal speeds...turning (tight) corners are "clunky" indicating the differential is locked.:bang:

Any ideas?

I had the same problem a couple weeks ago. Until this past year I think the lockers on mine were turned on a handfull of times so sometimes they get stuck. I went to an empty parking lot and turned everything on and off and did some figure 8's. Eventually they fixed themselves.

Well, started the truck this evening and NO LIGHTS! Yea...but wait, after about 10 minutes of driving, the ABS light and the DIFF lock lights lit up (without moving the transfer case to Lo). Corners became "clunky" so the DIFF is locked...but how wierd is this?

The parking lot trick didn't work either...sigh.

For what it's worth, my CDL disengages much quicker when doing slow turns in reverse. May be something to keep in mind.

that happend to me. I put it low range switch on my central diff lock. then turned on fr rr lockers switch. I drove around in a parking lot back and forth, then i turned off fr rr locker switch waited for the lights to turn off by doing figure eights and forward and back motions. then turned my central diff lock switch off and waited for my abs light to go out. then I shifted into high range and I was good to go... I found sometimes the lockers stay engaged if you dont wait for the lights to trun off before going into high range and out of central lock mode.

Um...if you are driving "clunky" on the road, regular, that means you probably have an issue with the engagement/disengagement of your center differential.

When in 4H, your rig should be perfectly smooth. No issues. No questions. It should be like driving a Honda Accord.

Unless you have some modifications to either the front end or the xfer that you haven't told us about, I would start doing some investigating with your switches (xfer and dash) on the entire drivetrain.

Good luck.

I'll try the reverse trick in hopes of unlocking the DIFF...but the ABS and DIFF light came on while driving "like a Honda Accord"...then it got clunky in the turns. Never touched the X-fer Case lever and I'm not so lucky to have the "dial on the dash".

Someone mentioned you drove through the mud of Soda Lake in your Mojave Road thread? Salty water might have dried and left deposits in some of your electrical connections. You might have to trace the culprits back to their unprotected harnesses and clean them out. The clunky could be the CDL actuator not working due to salt as well.
