My Toyota 4 Runner was totaled 2 weeks ago and I just received the settlement from the insurance company. I found a 2018 LX 570 in nightfall mica w/ parchment interior with 48K miles for $60K. I haven't seen many LX 570s w/ mileage this low. I know these cars allegedly last for hundreds of thousands of miles, but 48K in miles is pretty attractive to me. I kinda like the nighfall mica blue. I saw a build on here with that color and it was gorgeous. I'm not sure how I feel about the parchment interior. All my previous vehicles have had black or some dark color interior. Any cons of having this cream colored interior? I did find another 2020 LX for the same $60K but it has 10K more miles and is black/black. The 2020 is a CPO from Lexus and was a lease vehicle. Both have good service history. Somebody help me decide which one. I'm buying one of them tomorrow because I couldn't find an LC with less than 100K miles in my budget.

I'll immediately replace wheels and tires and soon thereafter front/rear bumpers.

The parchment interior does need a little more attention down the road but still workable. And there seem to be many more black on black 570s.

I vote lower miles and more unique color.

The parchment interior in my wife's GX doesn't like blue jeans - picks up a little blue tint on the outside edge of the seat where you slide in.

The parchment in my LX doesn't seem to care what I wear - no stains.

I voted the 2018.

Honestly for me, none.
Find an LX with black interior and non black exterior. I do not like owning black vehicles.
And I'll stil pick LX over LC if I have to do it again no matter the miles.

But this doesn't matter as this is your truck. You should dig deeper and find out what YOU want.

I love my 2021 LC200 with minor mods to date, yet I may replace our second car at some point with a 2016+ LX570 and get the CBI front clipped bumper etc.

Voted for the Mica Blue LX570 as a result...

brought the Night fall Mica LX 570 home today!!! She's a beaut. Already stopped by the shop to look at wheels/tires. These guys have done wheel/tires for me on my jeep and my 4runner with great results. Told the guy I wanted a 34" tire on the Lexus without a lift and he told me that could not be done. I've seen several builds that are unlifted with 34"s on them.... right? I'm not crazy am I? I know it depends on the wheel and tire but I could swear I've seen some pretty meaty tires on LX 570s.

Congrats! Post some photos when you have a moment.

This is my 200 with Rhino Roof rack and Hobby Tandem Island sailing kayak loaded, self made wind deflector for the rack, Airbags from Airbagman to level towing our travel trailer and added additional sound insulation in doors, rear load floor, laminated LX570 passenger/drive side windows. Also installed some electrical fuse boxes under hood to tie in future electrical consumers and the 12v supply for the Tandem Island 3500lbs winch. Pending installs of 12.5 LRA tank sitting in the garage and Airlift 74000 compressor with remote for the Airbags (currently do it manual, works well as well).

Once factory tires need to change (currently at 35k miles) plan to switch to 285/65 R18. May eventually clip the bumpers and have round skid pipes welded at the back, front do not know yet, skid plates and rock sliders, so when we go to Colorado or Utah we can do some more of the trails.

Fuse box and anderson plug setup for roof rack winch and future power consumers (like the 12.5 LRA and Airlift 74000)

Lots of 295/70r18 out there. Can run a little sensor lift. I’m on 35x10.5r17, just a little sensor lift.

34s could target 35 to 45 offset. 35s 20 to 35 offset.

Look at Lx builds not tlc, as they have different challenges as the suspension is different

Congrats on the new ride. Have to throw in the obligatory, "Pics or it didn't happen"...

34s fit with the right wheel offset without hitting metal (ET35-50), but you will have to deal with plastic in front of and behind the tire. Small 33s is typically as large as you can go without dealing with plastic. So just depends on your (or your shop's) appetite.

Very nice color.

Here she is in her "stock" form. Getting a chrome delete and my uhf/vhf installed next week. Then wheels/tires soon thereafter.

Congrats on the new ride, I have a 16' LX. I can give you some input on the wheel/tire question. I have run 2 sets of 33" and I recently put on a new set of Falken AT4W's. I also have front and rear bumpers (and sensor lift) so I probably avoid some rubbing areas due to the bumpers but in my experience, my 33's rubbed slightly at full lock behind the front tires. I just used a heat gun and bent back the plastic and it was fine.

I put on 34's and they rubbed considerably more. I even had a slight rub on the upper control arm. I then added 1" spacers so that the control arm wouldn't rubout that of course makes the rubbing on the rear fender lining worse. I ended up removing the mud flaps bending back a bracket and using a scrap piece of plastic to cover the mud flap area. Maybe it's just my imagination, but I feel like the ride quality has gotten rougher and my MPG's took a hit too. Honestly, I don't think its a great idea to get the 34" tires. They were more expensive, I then had to add spacers ($$) and now have a rougher ride (I think) and worse MPG for very little upside. Sure they look bigger and I increased ground clearance but I'm not sure if I would do it again.

Also, I really believe you made the right decision on getting an LX. I highly prefer the 16+ LX to an LC. The looks grew on me to the point that I now think they look much better on the exterior, but there is no question that the interior is incredible.

thanks for that insight. I appreciate the real world experience you shared. I'll take your input into consideration as I continue to explore wheel/tire choices.

I gotta think those Duratracs had something to do with the tradeoffs, rather than just 34s?

What a great looking rig btw.
