Transmission recently pulled from running '89 FJ62 w/165,000 miles. Won't start from "D", only "2", "L", and "R", otherwise shifts up/down fine in "D" in all driving conditions. Vehicle is being parted out as part of my '86 FJ60 project. $100 $50 plus shipping (Forward Air or Fastenal), or can deliver locally to central/northern NM and south-central CO.

any idea on the weight? or rather, any idea how much to ship via fastenal to Fresno, CA?
 
I believe it's about 260 lbs. on the pallet. I'll get a quote from Fastenal, but it usually takes them a day to get back to me. For reference, they recently quoted $150 from Albuquerque to South Carolina, so it should be less than that. Which Fastenal location in Fresno should I use?
 
Sure is - it's been stored in my garage, on a pallet ready to ship. I can check again with Fastenal - last year they quoted ~ $150 to ship to South Carolina. PM me if interested.
 
I think I succesfully sent you a PM, if you didn't get it, can you PM me? I just read you are in AZ, I am in NC so that quote should be around the same except market changes.
 
Forgot to add - I may be able to deliver it to the Las Vegas, NV area (through northern Arizona) in the next week or so.
 
I'll post some photos later this afternoon. There's almost no visible wear on the output shaft. The vehicle had ~165,000 miles on it when I pulled the drivetrain for my '86 FJ60 project, and almost none of those miles were off-road. I'll be heading from Durango through the Four Corners next Saturday or Sunday (September 16th or 17th) on my way to Las Vegas. Could easily drop it off in Winslow on our way through.
 
I'm supposed to go to the Pig Party in June at the North Rim... this thing is still calling me, isn't it?

Sure seems to be!

My wife and I have talked a lot recently about a trip to the North Rim, we've never been there. But we've gone once or twice a year to the South Rim for quite a few years in a row now, and will be going again in a few weeks.

We could do a trip in June if that would work for you. Let me know.

BTW, any details on the Pig Party? Anything to do with FJ55s? Or ???
