MAY 11, 2010 MARKS 5 YEARS FOR OLDE NORTH STATE CRUISERS

The day I sat down to start thinking about all this never did I anticipate that in 5 years we would have the club participation we have now.

Look forward to seeing where the club goes in the future

Kudos for all the effort.....we've come a long way and only stand to grow into and even better club.

Are we getting a club together or something ;)

Hmmm I know exactly what I was doing the day you posted that also Greg. It was the day after Andrea's birthday and we were still up in Napa Valley on our 5 day wine tasting trip. Good times. Moving to NC wasn't even a thought in my head and now look where I am

I had no idea what a LC was other than they were cool and expensive back then. 2005 was my first year working professionally and I was constantly thinking about what else I could buy to make my 01 Audi S4 faster...funny how 5 years can drastically change your focus.

I'd probably still be dumping money into my Audi if I hadn't seen Jason spying my 80 in a parking lot at a client I was working at in Highpoint.

Once joining I realized that the ONSC club and its people are so much more me and the :princess:'s speed. Never any regrets selling the Audi and changing my hobby/addiction to Toyotas.

A true testament to our club and its members .

Thank you Greg and everyone who has been instrumental in starting and building this club. I've been involved with various 4WD clubs since 1996 and ONSC truly is special and the only one I feel should be an example for others. We have a superb group of people who I consider friends, fantastic events, and a wonderful sense of community.

Cheers to ONSC!!!!!

^ What he said.

I have to agree with Joe and the wife and I were talking about it yesterday on our first camping trip down in Alabama. I met up with a few of the members here in the middle of the state yesterday and regarding their club they are still in the stone age. Maybe it is their focus on Hard Core wheeling, or apparent lack of family engagment, or lack of any central leadership/planning, but in the end it just isn't the same as ONSC. They all seem like great guys on and individual basis but the entity of the club just isn't there. This is the only automotive club I have been a part of besides the eccentric group of Mercedes Diesel enthusiasts I have hung out with but this club has the right stuff in all of the right places.

I'll think of you guys as i'm drinking mine. ;) My 12 that is.

I'm fairly sure my job and school work are going to turn me in an alcoholic. I managed to drink a 5th of vodka saturday night. Yay me
