I just posted a "want to trade" ad for my beloved cruiser :crybaby: I love the truck so much, we've had it practicaly its whole life, and would gladly keep it forever. It just seems these trucks get less and less practical in the urban jungle that is the DC metro area. Plus the better half hates to drive it, and her car is a small Mercedes that won't haul anything and doesn't like slippery roads. Alas....I need a shoulder to cry on.

Don't do it. Pull that ad now! You'll live to regret it.

I sold my 93 Toyota XtraCab to a friend rather than trade it in on the 100.

I still miss that truck, although at least I know a friend has it.

That sucks. Gotta do what you gotta do though. if you have looked everything over and there is no way at all to keep it then, that might be your best bet.

I have had to do the same thing several times with cars. Just make for sure that that is what you need/want to do. If it is not then you will regret ever bit of it.

Might I ask what you are trying to get next?

It's my experience that Landcruisers last longer than marriages. You may want to reconsider the sale.

Having grown up in the DC metro area, I know exactly what you are talking about when you say that it is getting less and less practical to drive these vehicles there. So......I went SOA and moved to CA. I couldn't stand driving those roads every day and wished that I had something more comfortable and faster. The only time I ever thought about getting rid of my truck was when I drove it in NoVA and DC.

I sold a 1981 toyota diesel pickup a few years back and almost cry everytime I see a similar one now. Fortuantely they are VERY rare....so I don't see them often

You mean like this one?

Sorry I had to do it.

I think if I had to sell this truck for any reason I would not want to go on living.
I sold a 94 4runner that was my first truck. lifted loud and 3.slow. I saw it in the Best Buy parking lot and ran up to it and gave it a kiss. I had just met my wife (girlfriend at the time). She thought i was a nut. If at all possible... Don't sell. Its a part of your soul.

but..... if you have to , it'll be ok.

I love my cruiser but I do hope my marriage lasts longer.

I'm still crying. Hopefully it will get better eventually.
