I have a 2000LX with 154K on the meter and a couple of months ago one of the tires went flat. I have the warranty on them from Discount Tire so I took it in. They said that Yokohama discontinued the geolander I had and only had the all-terrain version but thought it would not be good to put it on due to a much different tread profile. They said I should look at replacing all four tires. I decided to take my chances with the all-terrain version and had them put it on (right rear). A few days after that the vehicle skid control light (vehicle with squiggly tires) came on with the fast paced beep while taking a slight curve. It would go off when I straightened the wheel and only once did it grab. Thinking i might be causing harm to my transfer case I bought the bullet and bought 4 new tires because Yokohama oddly enough discontinued the all-terrain version of my geolander too. Discount Tire was nice enough to buy back the one I had at full price. Anyway, that was a week ago and everything was great until today I got the light when making a slight curve.

Does anyone have any ideas what it could be and/or what I should do to correct it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you were having no problems before the tire swap, tires are first place I'd look. How about something simply like tire pressure. All the same and to spec?

If tire pressure is good then I'd suspect a wheel speed sensor

Thanks for the responses. The tire pressure is good (29 front and 32 rear). I am unfamiliar with wheel speed sensors. Where are they and how they inspected/replaced?

You may try disconnecting battery for 30 minute, this reset computers just a thought.
If you had road hazard insurance with Discounts Tire, they owe you four tires less wear proration (first 4mm wear very fastest, last 8mm is 90% of life))
