I know that turbocruiser has this and he was "pretty sure" but wanted to check with others before I commit to ordering.

The info I have is that the Acura dual gauge pod fits the a-pillar with a little bit of persuading. But autometer has the 1990-93 version and the 1994-01. So which one is it?

Christo & Robbie, did you guys install that one on turbocruiser's?

I've got the egt and +/- boost gauges to go in it.

Thanks in advance.

Also, has anyone had good/bad experience with any particular brand of turbo timer? I'm interested in the ones that also provide the "theoretical" air-fuel ratio as measured across the 02 sensor(s) as well as battery voltage, etc. They don't really seem to be much more money but if the fxns are bogus that's good to know.

Turbo install is progressing very slowly but I've acquired the supra twin turbo fuel pump, a begi rising rate fuel regulator and am mounting the intercooler, routing the plumbing and relocating/replacing the tranny oil cooler but have been stymied by locating the winch.

At this point, any input is always entertained.

Hi, I think, repeat think, that the gauge pod that the rig has is from a 95 - 97 Acura so if the autometer is 94 - 01, I would think that would work.
I have an HKS turbo timer installed in my ashtray. It pops up when the ashtray is pulled out and otherwise is hidden. I posted a photo a while ago, I do not have it handy but if you search for pod you will probably see something. Hope that helps. For All!

Anyone care to add comments? Would be appreciated.
Thanks turbo - looks like I'll try the later model one. Is your turbo timer just the timer or does it have the other electrical features I mentioned?

I'm not helping much man, sorry, but again, I think, repeat think, that the HKS has the air fuel feature. I really dont refer to it for that as I have an air fuel gauge that is actually accurate at all times. The HKS also has all sorts of other features like reading the alternator's output, the battery voltage, etc. Actually I only use and understand the turbo timer function; since its in my ashtray hidden, and since the display is small, and since so many of those features are redundant to my stock alternator setup and my added autometer setups, I guess I'm only getting part of the terrific functionality of these things. Anyway, I will try to get the manual out tonight and read all the things it does do. I am 95% sure that the pod that I have is from a 95 - 97 Acura Integra. AFAIK, the only mod required was to take a 3/4" solid steel rod, heat it with a torch and press it into the pod where the grab bar is. Other than that it is original. It is also amazing how close the color is to the LC interior. I'll try to definitively answer some more of this for you soon.

Okay, went and pulled the package to answer the question about what functions this thing has and no kidding, everything is in Japanese, everything!!! Not a single English translation anywhere!!! So, I pulled out my trusty rusty translation book and I think it says something like " HKS Turbo Timer - This thing will attract Junk's moma like a dozen dirty donuts!" Can't finger that out, maybe I missed something in the translation!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA Seriously though, I think it has a voltmeter for batt or alt and another semi-accurate air fuel function. HTH.

Thanks for looking. I kind of thought the other fxns, minus the timer part, were close to worthless. I saw a sweet oem one from a JDM supra that was just a two way toggle that fit into the holes in the dash like the CDL and one side was 1 min and the other 3 min. The rest stashed behind the dash. Pretty slick but obviously not as bling as the aftermarket ones targeted at the fast and furious peeps.

Turbo, do you have a boost gauge?

ah, that's right. I meant to ask if you had an egt.

Clown, check out BLITZ timer and control modules. Also from Japan and I have one manual that is totally in Japanese and one that is in English. It controls so many damn functions and monitors so many things I don't even know all of it yet. But the screen is lcd and the functions are easy to control and modify right from the unit mounted on the A-pillar. Also have a BLITZ timer tied into the E-brake which controls the truck shut off and continues to let the motor run after the key has been pulled to allow the turbo to cool to proper temp. and oil to continue to lub the system. And yes after translating some of the Japanese manual I believe it did say something about Junks mother and it wasn't very complimentary. :ban:

guages mounted

Ok, so nothing new here and the photo is really crappy since the digital camera I have is refusing to use its flash. Anyway, I went with black faces, black bezels and green backlight to try and blend in with the rest of the dash light. The guage pod was from the 1994-01 Acura but it does involve a healthy amount of surgery. A dremel and heat gun worked best and I removed the trim that covers the a-pillar to use as a guide/template. It's tight though and having the hand grip screw go through it really keeps it in place. I'll post a daylight shot later.

EnDLeSS,

Do you have the same aforementioned Acura pod or something different? (looks identical to me, but thought I'd ask).

Clownmidget, that looks great man! Glad you got it to work.

Mot, I got the pillar dual gauge pod from SleeOffRoad.I like it very much looks like from the factory/stock cant tell, well Slee did very professional job ~ custom interior paint matched and right under the grab handle.

Jeez, looks like I gave a bad impression to Christo & Co. The std "tan" that it comes in is close enough to the interior color in my opinion. Still, Endless your's looks very nice. What gauges you running?

Mike

EnDLeSS,

Thanks for the info.

Running G'Reddy, Blitz, Defi or something else?

I like the look of the pillar mods but unless they fit perfect, I would look elsewhere. But then again thats just me. I am using a piece from BD called the Xmonitor. Its a small digital box made to top mount somewhere flat. I use one in my HJ61 on top/front of the console.
I will find a picture or better yet look here.

Waggoner5,

Do you know if the $459 kit includes all the necessary sensors?

I would think so, but thought I'd ask.
