Nice! Was that the one on craigslist? Looks like a great score. Congrats.

No , actually it was on here in a way. One of the people on my wanting a 80 post had it. I actually paid for it last weekend and picked it up yesterday. Worked on another 60 all day today though so nothing done today with it.

I love the way this one sits. It seems to have a perfect stance for the 40.

Would love to get rid of her GMC because of the engine but no. I will get to build it after it goes. She is not letting this one go.

Now onto the 80. She has already agreed with about a 3 inch lift for it. Sitting way too low. It already has lockers that work, tested them today. Drove it most of the day today to get a feel of it. Wonder why it took me this long to get one. Drives really nice but got a few issues to work out. Needs a starter / contacts. Also the driver window will come down when it wants to. Think it is off the bottom piece. Also needs new window tracks all around.

Other than that and a baseline of all fluids and stuff i think we will be golden.

Also, Jason we have a really good friend down there that is a pilot already. Strange female but is now a CW2 or 3. Let me know.

Yeah shoot me a contact on the e-mail. Is she into cruisers? I saw a nice 60 the other day just off of post. Tons of FJ Cruisers down here though.

Lets get the count so far. Always tell myself to set aside another 1000 for stuff.

Now we are into it for a starter, and a radiator. Got a Koyo radiator coming and the starter my wife picked up from the dealer today. Going to go thru this starter and have a spare one. Tha rad i am going to try to have someone replace the tanks.

Only counting the big stuff and not the small stuff.

Little update. No pics unless someone wants them.

Needed to replace the valve cover on this so off all that good stuff. What a pain to get some of that stuff off. Once off i noticed the intake was just crudded up so off it came all the way. More fun was had, but got that most of the way cleaned up. Looked to me like it had leaked oil so long that it was just filling the intake runners up. Does that make since ? Put all that back together and then ripped out the old rad. While i had the rad out i figured i would do the oil pump seal. Good idea cause it was leaking pretty fierce form looking below it.Waiting on a new crank seal right now or would of got that done today. Put all new hoses / vacuum lines and now plug wires also. One was in bad shape under the cover. Also the plug seals were about worthless also, so out they went ( not easily mind you ) and news ones went in also.

I am pretty happy though as once i got the valve cover off it was not all crudded up under it so that was nice.
