A Mayor Thanks!!

I (we) recieved a letter from Mayor Knox White of Greenville thanking the Upstate Cruisers for our energy and commitment to keeping Greenville clean. He praises our efforts and extends his commitment to our sponsorship of Adopt A Highway and also extends the gratitude of the people of Greenville.

We ought to feel proud fellas. We are doing a great thing for our community. During every pickup we have done, many passing cars slow down to say "thanks" and ask who we are and what we are about.

Thanks to our past president DAVID HARRISON who had the good nature and insight to get us started with this worthwhile program two years ago.

Of course, every job gets done by the grunts— you all— who participate and sacrifice your time, sweat and fingers. JOB WELL DONE!! Many thanks!
