Took a journalist and a 4x4 TV program crew to the jungle the 5 vehicles in the convoy were down to two as 3 did not shjow at the RV point.

This is a Track called Terra Tak Track in Malaysia - waterfalls at the end and mud and ruts inbetween.

Me in the LJ77 at the first obstacle past the resort. Soon it will be the only way down as the chicken track is receeding hahaha. Just a mere speed hump to RED.

DAFFY at the big rock. No pics of me as a i cleared it too fast hahaha. DAFFY bent its cross member here.

Then DAFFY got stuck in the bamboo - guess it shows bamboo and ducks do not get along.

Then there was a tree on the track at the little mudhole wihch is now a bigger mudhole and may require winching as the 36" sneakered volvo axle boyz have been playing.

DAFFY at whats known as the portal mudhole - yes its rather large now and I had to winch right round the corner :(

On the way back the little mudhole claimed me its different in both directions :(

Then we had to winch up the chicken track all the way as there is no traction due to the 36"s being there I also had DAFFY on my rear as his alternator was full of mud.

Then onto the car wash to clean the radiators out.

Nothing like having to winch the vehicle behind you out of a mudhole when its alternator is dead. I luv PTO winches.

Did i mention that the big LJ77 with its 13B-T effortlessly pulled the HILUX surf like a kids toy with the winch or the strap.

Never heard of the LJ-77 did it come stock with the 13bt ?

Nah it had a 22R as stock.

We changed
Engine to 13B-T (running 24V) with 14B-T fuel pump and modified to match the 21psi for the turbo. Modified the air intake for twice the volume. Mofied the turbo from a 7M , chnaged DIFFS for 8/39 with discs and electric locker. CHnage electric locker to be air activated, added a H55F gearbox with "soft clutch",
Dropped in a 80 series Aisin Electric (24V)/PTO winch, we run a pair of 120amp batteries, 6 inch lift 3" with 35: XT sneakers and "3 with springs, 3" exhaust and one day to be 3.5", front PTO freespool air activated/released changed front the seats to R-active nracing seats, Side steps, hella driving lights, Milford cargo barrier, HKS gauges and a mad westerner driving it and you have a serious jungle truck with a serious attitude in the engine department. It also will happily run with a 7M engined LJ77 or also pull away from them in 3rd only running up to 2500 revs hahaha.

The HILUX was stock until about 4 months ago and with the stock 3Y was dam tough to beat. It now sports a 3.0 1KZ and a 5 speed gearbox from a HILUX and a ISUZU rear axle and a new set of leaf springs a set of sprt seats from a ISUZU two door a custom rear steel cargo cage I made for it a WARN 9000 winch and a set of bars front and rear and side steps and this thing just is awesome - lots of ground cleance when he gets lockers we are all going to be left behind.

you allways have cool pics mate
Good stuff bud

Hi All:

"Cicak," thanks for the great pics! Wish I could have meet up with you guys when I was in S'pore in 2007! :D

Question for you though; why swap in a 26 spline Isuzu rearend for the factory Toyota 30 spline rear axle?? :hhmm:

Regards,

Alan
