my 91' is having some taillight issues. The drivers side brake light has not worked in a while, (not the bulb). and then the drivers' side tail light stopped working, (still not the bulb). Now the passenger side taillight stopped working. I cant drive at night because I have no taillights.
anyone hve a problem like this? I'm afaid that I will have to replace the wiring back there. any ideas?

Have you tested the socket with a meter?
IM not sure if those have realys, but that might be something you will want to check.

Is your truck wired for a trailer? I have seen a couple post on the board mentioning similar problems. You'll have to search for that.

In general, if the 91 wiring is similar to the 96, there is one main harness that runs down the DS. In the DS rear compartment that houses the jack and tools the harness connects to the DS lights and to the sill harness that runs along the rear sill above the spare tire and into the PS across from the tool location. Also, there is a ground on the sill harness above the spare. Check that also.
