My club (Gettinoff4x4) has a couple of run dates coming up. We always welcome new people to join us.

The first run is our annual trail clean up. This is this coming weekend May 20th Its on Sourgrass trail on highway 4. This trail is pretty easy and stock rigs can make it. This is more of a work day than a hard wheeling day. Our goal is to close unofficial bypasses, channel standing water, pick up trash and work with the state to keep this trail open. The trail opening is usually pretty easy and goes quick, then we end up going farther up highway 4 to wheel in the snow. Like I said anybody is welcome to join us.

Gettinoff, is made up of 50/50 mix of Toyotas to Jeeps. Should be a decent turnout.

The second run is Slick Rock-a-rama this is on June 3rd. This is going to be a late season snow run. Should probably have at least 1 locker, again others are welcome to join us on the run. I will probably take my heep this run it’s a bit better equipped for this kind of wheeling, but this time of year you just never know it may not have too much snow left. We shall see.

Third I am not leading but I am sure that other will be welcome, its Moon Rocks in Nevada, go to the page to get information.

There are several other runs that the club has planned, if your in N California and interested are looking at joining a 4x4 club; Gettinoff always welcome new members. Here is the links to the club and the trips we plan on running.

Let me know if you want to join us on either of these runs so I can look for you and introduce myself. We should have two cruisers with us, my 60 series, and another 40.

do you guys only bring club members or can "guests" wheel with you as well?

got up 4 today, its melting fast. no sign of snow @ 6k , hit about 7500 still good amount of pack left.

keep us posted on these runs.

thanx, ken

Paul any recon on the slick rock run?
How big of group do you expect?

Thanx in advance for the info. ken

Yea it looks like the club is going to postpone a general run. There are a few guys heading up to run it, but I am not going to be able to make it. I will send the detail as soon as I hear something.

The weather up in Arnold has been nice but there is still 10 foot snow burms on Slick Rock and higher. Ranger says another few weeks before they open spicer road.
