A/C air filter

I read somewhere there is an air filter to filter incoming air for the air conditioning unit on LC's.
Is that true?

Lexus side uses them starting in 98 , the 04 uses a charcoal activation to absorb odors as well , not cheep,

88568-60010 does not come up on the Toyota master. That would make it a Lexus-only part. (In North America anyway).
