I have two Fj's for sale in New York. One is a 71 , very rusty , stock , complete except for seats. It is suitable only for parts. The other is a 75, with a working Meyers plow, has a 350 with advance adaptor and stock rebuilt tranny and transfer. I have had it since 95 or so, it has only been used to plow my driveway since 98, the last year it was registered. Good michelien tires , typical Northeast rust, but a good canidate for a project truck. I have all the recipts for the work I did installing the 350 andother mods when I first got it. I would like to sell them as a pair and would expect about $950 for the pair. I am located about 75 miles north of NYC and you can Pm me if your interested although calling me would be quicker, I only get to this forum every week or so. MY # is 9144897174 Thanks Tim

Another footnote

The old 71 blu cruiser is a freebie to who ever wants it, the yellow cruiser OTTO is for sale. I only thought to keep them together because it seems they have developed a liking for each other over the years under the pine tree. just what that relationship is ,,, I never asked, didn't want to intrude....

ok this time I have it ! pictures

Otto and the blu cruiser!

I might want them. Im going to call my friend and my dad and see if they would want to take on this project with me.

What would have to be done to get Otto safe to run on NY roads and pass inspection? any idea?

Hmmm...tempting....

Hello Tim-
I am curious how road worthy the running cruiser is. I know you only used it for plow work, but I am curious how it actually runs. The only reason I ask is because I am in Wisconsin and would have to drive it all the way back. I would prefer not to trailer it. If it would be easier, I could call or P.M. sometime and we could talk more in depth.

typical

typical ne rust is "typical" You know what I mean! Rust in all the right places there is supposed to be rust. I spent a week vacuming canadian beach sand out of the frame rails and then POR'ing them of my "supposedly" restored bj 42 It is not as solid as the 75. the frame is rusty but sound. I was giong to frame off it and go for an aqualu tub but I came across the bj and decided iI wanted that instead. Come look at it aand decide for yourself!

is the tub salvagable, or does it need to be replaced?
floors?
any more detailed pics?

for typical NE cruiser rust around me, you wouldnt be able to take a bath or hold any water, for that matter, in the "tubs" :D not that you'd want to.

do you want to sell the Bj42? i'd be swapping a diesel in the FJ40 anyway..
