Haven't seen any of y'all post about this. Is this something none of y'all go to? $120 to get in the gate seems high but if it's worth it I don't mind paying. I've never been to this event but been to BMRA a few times. What's says you?

Well....as an event chairman, it is normal and customary to extend an invitation to all geographically reasonable clubs via their clubhouse forum on Mud (Southern Crawl, Mardi Krawl, Razorback Ramble, GMSTR have all posted up.) I do not recall seeing a posting for Jamboree. I know I personally placed two postings on their site for Round Up, even offered them a money back guarantee....
Having said that, I will be heading out there Friday for the Vendor Dinner representing TLCA at the pavilion. I have a previous commitment for Saturday evening, so I will not take a rig, just the Pirate Ship. If you go out there, come hang out Friday evening...I'm hard to miss.
According to their Pres, they are expecting 175 trucks plus spectators. It should be a good event.

Many of us go out to BMRA about once a year or so. That's about all I am good for personally. I'm not that crazy about the wheeling out there. As for events in general, our club usually has a several members attend the Southern Cruiser Crawl in Hot Springs AR, run my Cottonland Cruisers or the Razorback Ramble, both at Superlift Park which is an awesome place. I'd like to see us put together some runs that go to some of the bigger events that are not in our back yard, like GMSTR, Moab, Rubicon, etc. The club used to do a lot of those before we started running our own event, The Round Up.

I prefer to support events held by clubs that support our event, The Round Up. That's a personal opinion, not an official one.

I'm going to take my LX450 out there. Installed an Aussie in the rear last week & want to try it out. Nothing wild just mostly checking out how my rig performs since I installed lift, tires & locker. I'm not too keen on BMRA either but it's close & they're having some fun stuff for the kids & there's some decent mild trails that'll be perfect for my 450's maiden voyage. If you see a green LX & a black Taco @ a campground come say hello!

Look for me docked at the pavilion

It seems like a very heavy FJ and 4runner group. I get a different vibe from this, more like the FJ Summit. I am wondering how many folks I will actually know. Glad to hear a few LSLC folks will be there.

You nailed it! We didn't get any turn out from these guys for Round Up, general consensus was Katemcy is too tough for the FJC's....go figure...my 12 yr old son wheeled my 40 on 32's all over the rocks.

Kinda at a loss as to why LSLC didn't get an invite....heard we are too stuck up.

I'm taking my '05 LC daily driver out there just to see what all the excitement is about. Granted, I'm running basically a stock truck sans running boards and slightly larger than stock street tires. I've taken this truck up a few logging roads in New Mexico, so I'm confident it can handle the double diamond trail(s) at BMRC.

I'm looking forward to learning more about offroading and someday plan to have a dedicated offroad LC that's not my daily driver. Got to get a few kids thru college first.

My youngest son loves camping and driving on "bumpy roads" so I'm sure we will have a good time. As for the "stuck up" attitudes, I'm rolling in a 100 series, so who cares if I'm running the powder puff trails so I don't tear the crap out of my creampuff LC. I got nothing to prove, just want to learn more about offroading in a 4X4 Toyota.

Plus, East Texas landscape is nice. I'm sure the folks will be as well.

I will be in the inappropriately over built tow rig....

Per current plans ... Butch and I will get there Saturday morning. We will still be Cruiser-less, but we will have an additional head with us. A co-worker has asked to come along [he is thinking about buying a side-by-side but has never seen an OHV park or off-road event so it will be an educational opportunity for him]. This is another park and event that we have not seen before, so I am looking forward to more bucket list material. See you there.

Maybe 1 of y'all can answer this question for me. I only want to wheel Saturday but camp Friday and Saturday night. I cook my own meals so I don't need dinner tickets. I won't be going on any 'organized' trail rides. Will I still have to pay $120? Do the 'passenger' tickets allow you to wheel your vehicle(site says 'passenger' tickets allow trail access)? I've sent them an email but am wanting to know ASAP to let my buddies know. Thanks!

If you are wheeling at all, it's going to be $120, I'm pretty sure. The passenger tickets are only for folks that don't bring a rig.

Awesome. Will be good to see y'all!

Jim, be sure to say hi. I'll be in the inappropriately over built great big 40.

Will do. I wanted to talk with some of the LSLC folks anyway. Can't seem to make it to any of the meetings though.

Got an email back today. It's $120 wether you want to wheel 5 minutes or 4 days.

Just finished settling in at camp. We're camping between the family camp and TRR camp. Hope to meet some of y'all this weekend!
