99 lx470 odd diff lock question (1 Viewer)

In 4Lo the center diff will not disengage. I read somewhere that on the ‘99s the center diff lock is just “on” by default in 4Lo but that seems kinda odd to me. So, can anyone settle this for me? Center diff works fine in hi. Engage, disengage, no trouble. 4Lo and it’s on and the switch has no effect at all.

That is correct for 98-99. Search Pin-7 mod if you wish to use 4LO CDL unlocked. I do find CDL-unlocked useful for tighter turning.
