Ive been looking to do the same to my 98. I've compared the two and noticed the 06 head lights have a slight downward slope going towards the grill. So it seems you would have to get those two pieces below each head light. And if they are needed, this would leave a gap below the old grill. There is also center brace for the 06, I'm not sure if this is needed. I wish I had a local 06 to compare to.
@Shickalee please update us when you get the head lights in.

@duggy so if I am correct, that is a direct grill replacement correct? no other parts are needed for the JDM style grill?
No, but the wiring changes at some point.Does the shape of the Tail Lights on the 100 Series change between 2005 & 2007?!
I want to pull the trigger on these:
Spyder® ALT-YD-TLAN98-LED-BK - Black/Red Fiber Optic LED Tail Lights
I used a Dremel with a metal cutting wheel when I did mine.Sorry for reviving an old thread, but what does one use to trim back 1/8" on the fenders to get the new lights to fit? I have access to an angle grinder (I've never used) and a sawzall. My understanding is that the sawzall is terrible. I presume the cut just mirrors the existing shape of the headlight and it extends back mildly? But how does one get that to go? Dremel maybe? Just seems like a minor shaving of metal in a tight angular area. I've read the tic article and this thread and I'm still mildly at a loss on how to do this 'correctly'(fish). Thanks guys@
Hi. Can you send link where to buy tap screws both for sub panels and for headlight to fender please. Thank you very much. For the last 10 years I've always sold my vehicles once they reach 200k. Well, the time came a couple days ago when I cracked 200k with my 98 hundy. Over the last few months, my wife and I debated on buying another one with low miles but after not much though we both decided... "WHY?" This truck has been insanely reliable, is very comfortable, runs perfect, and still looks good. It's got another 200-300k in it easy.So we decided to give it a little refresh instead and keep it for awhile. We did all of the major and minor services (all fluids, tb/water pump, plugs, filters, lubes, etc...)We had a little bodywork done on the rear hatch where I backed it into a dumpster a few months ago, and I decided to change the chipped up headlights and stuff. The following pics are the before and after really. Not much of a write up because when I get busy doing something I forget to take pics along the way. It's very straight forward though.

Bonus pic of where bodywork was. Mostly debaged now, was going to do a new style Land Cruiser emblem that covers the whole popout on the hatch, or maybe leave it debaged. What do y'all think?
