Post up some other front headlight options... Some have disappeared over the years... I'm updating my 99 right now as well and can't decide what to go with... I've got everything pulled off the front right now and can't decide which lights to order... I aslo want something one piece but was hoping to find a better bolt in alternative to all the parts used so far for the trim under the newer lights, new grill etc...

kyoso23 - Yeah those depo 98 - 05 lights are the ones i've been trying to find again... I see the clear "halo" style ones on ebay and i've even found the "halo" style lights blacked out on the inside but still not sure i like the look of them as much at the depo ones that were once available... i was also looking at upgrading the bulbs or doing a hid conversion or something possibly... was hoping someone would post some other alternatives for headlights... your update looks good - i also just hit 150K and am deciding if I should get another 100 or keep adding mods to the 99...

So the HID kit I bought for this is pure sheit. The cutoff looks weird and the light output looks like it's "moving" and there are hot spots. I took the HID kit out of my car and installed it (same model bulbs) and it looks great. The cutoff is a little high, but it's nice and even at least and doesn't splash it around. That's what I get for buying that cheap stuff from EBAY. Does anyone have a decent recommendation on a reliable HID kit? I know the lamps aren't made for HID, but it really does look pretty good with the kit out of my car. I can adjust it down a bit I think and it should be good to go.

After a couple failed attempts with some eBay HID's I bought a 35w 5000k set from DDM. Problem solved. Light output is nice and white (the ebay 5000k kit still looked blue and the light fluttered), and there's actually a semblance of a a cuttoff even. No hotspots to speak of either. Really quite pleased. Some of the clearcoat stuff on one of the headlights has some chips in it, the seller is exchanging it for a new one this week.

What make/type and size are your tires? Those look great.

Old thread but to the OP if you're interested in selling any of your old parts, I'be up for buying a turn signal light :)

Are these Depos? I'm thinking about using the newer lights to mount the HID projectors in and selling my old lights to recoup a little bit of the costs.

I have thought about doing the same. I would like to do LS460 retro .I work for TRS so it's pretty easy to get my hands on the rarest projectors.

If you guys do another retro I highly recommend the OEM Toyota ballasts. 10X better than any aftermarket stuff.

I am waterproofing these and installing them soon in my truck.

Ok, I'm a moron. I was just outside working on my LC and noticed my 04 already has the grill that goes all the way to the bumper. So the only different between my 04 and this 06 is the grill/emblem design and the one-piece headlights.

Now I wonder if I could install the one-piece headlights without anything else since mine is already most the way there...

Yes as I understand it, you can just change out the headlights as the 03-07 100's already have the headlight sub panel supporting your existing two piece headlights. Also if one has a 98-02 100 as I do, you would only need a new headlight sub panel if you were upgrading to the larger grille 03-07 that does not have a trim piece below the grille. I will confirm, as in the next few weeks I will be adding new depo 06-07 headlights and retaining the full trim sub panel piece that runs below the headlights and grill on the 98-02 models.

Ive been looking to do the same to my 98. I've compared the two and noticed the 06 head lights have a slight downward slope going towards the grill. So it seems you would have to get those two pieces below each head light. And if they are needed, this would leave a gap below the old grill. There is also center brace for the 06, I'm not sure if this is needed. I wish I had a local 06 to compare to.

@Shickalee please update us when you get the head lights in.
