I still don't get why it's considered an upgrade to go from glass lenses to plastic??

I'm not sure it's an upgrade as much as it is a facelift. For instance, my headlights, though in good condition/not cracked have started the characteristic fading of the silver reflective material. Not only are they now not as bright, they just look sort of dull. That being said, these DEPOs are attractive to me because (a) they look fresh/shiny, (b) they are significantly less expensive than OEM glass assembly replacements, and (c) they are of the 06-07 design, making a 98-05 LC look newer (especially if I were to also change the grille).

I, like you, much prefer glass lenses; however, for the reasons above, these DEPOs are viable options (in my opinion) I've had DEPOs in the past, and I've never had any that discolored (at least as long as I had them)

I'm swapping to these as well because, like @dnp I need an upgrade over stock. I'd pull my headlights apart and clean the chrome as much as possible but I now have a crack in the glass on one of them. So between new stock lights and these, I'll take the DEPOs for the look, price and rumored quality. One more factor is that I'd rather swap projectors into these due to their design, rather than the OEM stacked look. I'll also be getting the rears, because I don't like the look of the stock early tail lights. It's the most out dated part of the whole exterior IMO.

Hey @ranma21, do these headlights have the orange in the corner or are they all clear? I had assumed they were all clear but now I'm noticing pics of both... I'll keep my order either way, just curious :)

This is the all clear version, thanks for your order. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions at anytime. ;)

Ok Ian, one more question: these are the same bulbs types as stock right? 9005/9006? Seems so, but I didn't see it mentioned in the thread. I'm just trying to decide on what bulbs to try out in these... Stock halogen, HIR, HID, LED... so many options all of a sudden lol!

Hi Andrew, It uses H7 bulb per DEPO catalog. Feel free to let me know if you have more questions. =)

Ok. I hear you. I just spent half a day polishing my friends poly headlamps on his Honda Pilot and I guess I'm just glad I have glass. If the depots came in a glass lens, I would pay some pretty hefty dollars to get a set

Only way to get glass headlamp is to go back to 80 series, both Toyota and Depo offer glass head light. With the right tool and polishing pad, it should take less than 40 minutes to do both lenses. Consider polishing your plastic lense every 6-7 years, you get brighter lamp and face lift, priceless ;)

Timing still looking like 6 weeks from Jan 21 date?

Am I too late to the party? I need to pull the trigger on replacement Drivers side Headlight and Turnsignal assemblies that didn't survive a fender bender. I'd prefer the clear ones both sides anyways.

If so, are we are looking at 2nd week of march to arrive in TX, or drop shipped to Phoenix?

Thanks in advance!

Update 2/25 :
ETA has been push back to 5 weeks from now as of 2/25. I apologize for the delay as supplier fell through last minute when he is supposed to get the shipment ready and packed for pick up. Found another supplier for the lamps. Will keep you guys update in a week. Please do not hesitate to let me know if you have any questions or concern. I know everyone is excited and waiting for it patiently, I will try my best to get them to you asap. Thank you for your patient and understanding.

Ian

Thanks for the update man, much appreciated and I'm glad you found another supplier so quickly. Those fog lights look pretty slick! Any more info/picks on them?

Edit: Found an image of the back. Looks like it would be pretty simple to wire the LEDs to the DRLs. Reason I'm thinking that is because there are claims (see this thread) that LED bulbs are disabling DRLs, and I'd like to run LED bulbs when these new lamps arrive.
