97 TLC, triple locked, 299,000 miles. Bought it as project truck, have done lots of restoration, but life has intervened and I need to sell it. Everything works except rear window squirter and remote lock/unlock. Was in minor accident just before I purchased it. New front bumper and all bumper hardware, new front bumper extensions, turn signals and running lights, new hood, new right rear bumper extension, new OEM leather front seat covers, new carpet, dash lights all work (those are hard to find!), new calipers & pads & soft brake lines all around, new shocks, new PS pump. Original jump seats included. New driver's seat belt (can no longer get correct color, bummer). Original rear leather seats are worn but not torn. Total head rebuilt by Dover Cylinder Head Service, shows good compression with one cylinder slightly lower than others. No leaks. Runs and drives well, all 4WD stuff works, starts easy hot or cold, even sunroof works. When I replaced the rear brake rotors, the parking brakes were clean as new, so I dont think this thing has ever been in the mud. I removed body, sprayed frame with rust converter (surface rust mostly, little bit more around trailer hitch) then painted with flat black paint which looks very factory. All new dash vents. JVC indash unit with BT and Android/Apple software and backup camera. Only new front door speakers work, rest are crap. New battery.

NEEDS: right front fender is skanky from accident, and fender flare is gone (I actually have it, but its not repairable). It needs a paint job, dark green paint is faded on roof and base of windshield cowling. All power windows work, but regulators need to be cleaned, lubed etc. Window seals (the ones on outside at base of windows) need to be replaced, new ones included but not installed. Sun visors wont stay put and flop down, small bungee holds for now. Headlights are good (w/ LED replacement bulbs hi/lo), but one has broken adjuster and cloudy lens, but both are correctly aimed. Factory running boards included, but not installed. Rear passenger door card was rotten, am partway through cutting out replacement - the factory cover (w/ armrest etc) is good, just the cardboard behind it was rotten due to bad window seal. Windshield has several pretty gnarly stone chips and should be replaced.

Asking $12000. I intended to keep this thing forever, and undertook all the work with that mindset, no shortcuts. I will provide a recent carfax on request as PDF. Truck is located in zip code 37377 (Signal Mtn, Tn). I do not look at this forum very often, so if you are interested, call or text me at 2568530390

One more non-working item...the power antenna.

One of the photos shows the right (passenger) rear door with no door card. The door card covering, the leather cover and armrest and all that, is good, but the cardboard form behind it is rotten due to a leaky window. I am most of the way through cutting out a new door card from hardboard. Once that's completed, I will fasten the leather covering and the armrest etc and reinstall the whole thing. It should look no different from stock.

How did you fix the bent frame? I almost purchased this vehicle when it was sitting at the Long Mercedes Benz body shop!

I didnt fix the frame, I replaced it. I found a stripped 96 in North Alabama with a straight frame which I bought. I treated what rust there was on the frame, then painted what had been treated. Swapped everything over to the "new" frame etc etc. With a lift, it wasn't hard to do, put 'em side by side and take this off one, put it on the other. You can see the body on the lift in the background of above pic. The only sheetmetal that was really damaged was the core support, which I found used on ebay. That body shop had already purchased some parts (like a new hood) which came with my purchase of the truck. They stopped work on it when they realized the frame was bent.
