Ok, so I bought the truck knowing the p/s pump was out, truck rides on 35's. PO had new rack and pinion put in a few years ago. So I went to NAPA and got a new reman pump. Put the reservoir and pulley on it, mount it, no worky. Pull off, soak reservoir in parts cleaner due to really dirty screen to soak and completely blow the system out via the low pressure line, seemed to clear s*** thru the banjo fitting on the high pressure side. Remount, works fine.....for about 5 minutes, take apart again, blow and clean, remount, lasts about 5 minutes and blows fluid back out the cap. What am I missing here?

Maybe take it back to Napa and tell them it doesn't worky? I've never used a Napa reman, but I've heard stories from others that the remans are hit or miss.

possibly, it seems the pump is working because it's overfilling the reservoir with fluid, I'm guessing that the screen is becoming clogged again and again with old crap. May try a flush today, just run the return line to a bucket and keep filling the reservoir and see.

I used tu run a clear line in the low pressure return line just to " see " if the hole system it's flowing as it should be ..

I cannot get this thing sealed, even ordered new union seats for it. It appears the flare is goofed on the end so I may just cut it and add a compression fitting, will update tomorrow.

lol, found another leak in the R&P, top seal where the steering shaft goes in, using some stop leak for now and will pull and replace the unit, what a piece of s***.
