Damn I like that! Soft top too? What motor is in it?

3B/H55/Split

Purrs.....best running 3B I've heard, granted I've not been around many this healthy.

Soft top is bad ass. Has the same removable door tops common on RHTs, but the rear pillars and top pop off too, which I've never seen.

Very cool, very tight rig, avd happy for Onur's addition to the family.

If it weren't for the wheel being on the wrong side, might've been figthing for it!!

Thanks!!

Besides the solid glass, it's all clear (or was) glass, no third row, manual cloth seats (that are more comfortabke than a GX460, and that's saying something.) and no sun roof.

Uncommon configuration for US 80s.

I'm thankful everyday that I didn't have the money in 1992 for anything more than my poverty pack. No running boards, no moon roof, no roof rack, manual seats = no problems in 2015. (I'm not sure power seats were even an option in 1992 but I love my manual seats. 234k miles and still comfortable.

Nice rig. Very good looking.

While on the topic of poverty packs. Here is how the role in Armenia

Hey Delancy... Live near Haikey Creek? I've taken some flexy shots on the rocks there.

Mile away.

Dunno what rocks you're talking about though....

What are you driving?

Know most the Cruisers out here, except those that don't acknowledge.

Do the ambulance door windows roll down or pop out? Would be cool as hell if they did.

They're fixed glass.

Having had several tailgated Cruisers, but always wanting ambi doored, I can say it's a "what I want is what I've not got" syndrome.

Now have a vintage ambi doored, and wish it was tailgated.

I've had 40s and 70s with ambi doors. I wish I hadn't gotten rid of my 70 a few months ago. Loved that rig. But it was either the 70 or my 80. So I sold the 70 with 45k on it and kept my 80 with 234k. And bought two more 80s. :)

Same here, but also tailgated 55/80s....the wagon set up is probably more functional.

It's funny that I'd like a tailgate and hatch glass for the 40, but ambi doors for the Pig.

I want another 40 with ambi doors but also a second set of ambi doors to cut off for topless. Or a tailgate when topless. Then again, I want a lot of things...

Stopped at a QT in Sand springs one afternoon after scoring some 35's off Craigslist for $100 and saw his rig sitting in the parking lot. I saw his wife getting in it and asked her if this was hers or her bf/husband's. His running joke is now that I was hitting on his wife:doh:.

Since I am about as UN-mechanically inclined as they come, he has been guiding me along nicely. Hopefully some sliders, deflare and bedliner soon. After hitting the Big Meat run with him, it's a small miracle I didn't crush a rocker panel or tear off a flare. Those flimsy things are coming off one way or another.

Just fyi, I put my truck in the registry back on 285's flexing on a rock by the softball fields. I hope we can meet up sometime.

@vancisla,

I'd think if KR seriously thought you were hitting on Mrs. KR, he'd have put the smack down on.....or you're a really big guy, since he's not on the little side.

I have a few parts you may be interested in, in the slider/tube bumper/exhaust/AC dryer relocate department, the exhaust and dryer relocate a must for the sliders or bumper.

Have uber built OE axles/diffs for 37s, too, and may separate.

"Uber" and "OE" in the same sentence translates into $$$$$$, so one has to appreciate the high quality parts and the services of the professional that built, to even begin to understand my valuation.

Along with that an interior tire mount, dual battery tray and washer relocate, a complete LX interior, minus the seats that are now in KRs rig.

On deflating an LX, it's a major undertaking and, unless you REALLY like welding sheet metal, I'd suggest enlisting the services of KR's body guy.

Major PITA to do it right.

I'll message my contact info to save.

The thread topic'd PP80 is now my one and only daily driver and 80s are hard to miss in SoTulsa.

Can occasionally be seen in a vintage blue Cruiser and, hopefully before the end of summer, will be driving a Freeborn Pig to share in DD responsibility with the 80.

Will keep an eye out for your Fo' Fiddy, too!!

How 'bout it? Is this truck getting any love or is it all going to your piglets??

They're all pigs.....but I've a big enough heart for a herd of 'em, don't worry.

That said, she's relaxing for the time being, but will return to service once the hellacious heat oppresses the south central US, since the AC is cold and inviting.

What a cool ride, Delancy. In one of the previous pics, it looks like white on top, and it actually looks pretty good as white with gray two-tone. Maybe just paint the upper half white? My favorite is an all-white, slick top 80, but since the lower jambs are already gray, maybe just paint the upper half white, and the beige jambs wouldnt contrast the white too much. Just thinking out loud. Do me a favor and remove that rubber piece at the bottom of the rear door and add front OEM mud flaps.

Bugs the crap out of me, too, but have been straddling the fence between the correct flaps (which I had, at one point) or flare less.

All know my affinity for flarelessness, but wasn't up to the challenge of plugging the minuscule amount if holes the 80 has in comparison to the dearly departed LX (that's gonna rise like a Fenix from the ass, in the near future).

UNTIL

A local Mudder sent pics of his project Poverty Pack 80, near twin to mine, and I think it's sealed the deal that deflaring is in the future.
