On occasion, when removing my foot from the gas pedal and slowing down when in gear, the vehicle revs up and slams back into gear when the gas pedal is pushed again. This usually happens if re-acceleration occurs before a complete stop. Not all the time, just on occasion... Any ideas?

Mine does the same, I need to adjust it more but it’s not as bad now. What you likely need to do is adjust your Tv/throttle/kick down cable.
This is NOT the cable that your gas pedal pulls on. That’s the accelerator cable, which caused a little confusion when I searched for info. They’re in different places between the 3FE and 1FZ engines, so check your applicable FSM. If your cable stretched over the years you won’t be able to set the FSM spec, just take up the slack in the cable and go from there.
