97-FZJ80 BRAKE/TAIL LIGHTS DO NOT WORK,SIGNALS/REV DO WORK

I feel like I may have the same issue going on, but I have yet to pull everything apart and inspect it.

Is this plug on the driver or passenger side rear?

Most times it is on the right side, but I have seen a few on the left.

Thanks, I figured it out, it was the towing wiring harness, I think the module took a dump. Im all set now! no melty connectors.... Thank god.

Wake up thread!!!

Im having the same issue. Found water in the driver side, behind the tail light, under the jack. Harness got wet. Oddly, the brake light housing is getting power but the light doesn't work. Maybe a bad ground?

Passenger brake light works but doesn't get brighter when pressing brake.

When i wiggle the driver side, brake bulb...the brake light switch activates under the shifter. Really weird.

Anybody run into this?
