'97 80 series rear interior door lights stay on

My rear interior door lights stay on. Can anyone tell me where to start looking for the problem?

The switch on mine has three positions, on, on with door open, and off. Are you sure yours isn't just switched on?

My dome lights all have that, but do the lights down low on the doors have that option too? If so, where is that switch?

No, the lower rears don't have that. The lower rears are turned on by the rear hatch, the rear door switches. If you confirm that your rear gate and hatch are indeed closed, and your rear doors are closed, then the first thing to start checking is the door switch in the tailgate, as it is somewhat common for that to go bad or out of adjustment. It is built into the handle/latch mechanism inside the tailgate.

I was mistaken on my location as @landcrshr stated and fixed it for me. It's in the HATCH, not the tailgate.
