DOES ANYBODY KNOW A BULB # TO REPLACE MY FACTORY GAUGE BULBS. DOES WAL MART OR THE PARTS STORE STOCK THEM? ANY HELP SOURCING THE CORRECT BULBS WOULD BE GREAT. MY "D" LIGHT IS OUT AND I FIGURE I MIGHT AS WELL REPLACE THEM ALL WHILE IM IN THERE!

Do a search here on MUD, (upper right corner of the web page, make sure you look in the 80 series) there are more then a few threads on this subject, plus threads on the bulb numbers to convert over to LED.

I'm trying to replace the bottom bulbs for like the check engine light, 4x4, abs.... I tried 74's but these bulbs are slightly smaller than 74's. I've read every post I can find for the past three hours and nobody seems to know. There are several posts over the years of people asking for a complete bulb list for the entire dash, hvac, gauge cluster and so on but nobody has come up with any real answers except for the 5 large bulbs that light up the tach, speedo, oil, temp, fuel and voltage gauges.

You can PM beno, he's not only one of Muds best factory Toyota parts experts, but he also sells factory Toyota parts. So if anybody can help you find those bulb numbers, he'd be the one. One last thing, if you ask Beno to take his time to look these items up for you, you should think about buying those items from him, because he's one of Mud's supporting vendors.

Will this help you? The Honda bulbs are slightly brighter than the Toyota bulbs.

Here are some pictures that may help you. The "D" bulb along with the other dash bulbs are common. The larger wedge type bulbs are #158's. Some of them have a green condom on them that just peals off and can be put on a replacement bulb. The bottom row of bulbs are #74 bulbs. Again the condom thing on some. Any auto parts store will have these bulbs. The "D" bulb is a V-2 bulb and is common to many different makes and models. In the side view of the gear selection light connector 2 of the bulbs are Honda as can be seen with the slightly different base installation slots. The gear selector indicator connector fits in the slot in the center of the combination meter in the picture so you can see how to get at it.

Could you direct me to the thread from which these posts are quoted? I've been researching this same thing for hours and haven't seen that info before. I would like to read up more and see if there are reliable replacement bulbs (without bases) that can be had for cheaper than OEM

EDIT: Didn't realize you could click the arrow on the quote to go direct to the thread. Thanks!
