Does the 95 tacoma with a 2.4 liter 4 banger have the same starter problem like the 80's do?
The one were you have to change the contacts and maybe the plunger.

My starter has started to click the first time I try the key. Maybe the second time I push in the clutch it will start.

If I turn the key with out pushing in the clutch it makes no noise.
So When I do push in the clutch I get the click on the drivers side were the starter is. I am thinking that I have the 80's starter problem.
What do you think?
Hope everybody Holidays were nice :flipoff2:

Thanks you guys, I'll be replacing them real soon.

As mentioned above this is common to all of the Nippondenso gear reduction starters. Simple fix. You can get the contacts at Alaska Auto Electric in Anchorage. A couple of bucks a piece. Make sure you get the right contacts. The '95 taco starter uses on of the "old style contacts and one with an extended section. The older starters used two identical contacts with no extension.
