Selling my baby because we’re moving back overseas, Nearly all of this was done by the previous owner. I used this truck for camping over the past year, and thats about it. i had great plans, but life got in the way and now we're moving again. Supposedly the engine was rebuilt at 150K, but no documentation. Odometer now reads almost 210K. Previous owner did all the work himself, and it looks really good. Since I've had it, I've put about 5K into it with rebuilt front knuckle, wiper motor, put all new window regulators and motors, new ac compressor, new ABS and replaced the light force fog lights for LED bar. Winch works great. Never messed with CB, but i get the static and channel search like it works so presume so.
I had grand plans for this of dumping a TDI engine in it and keeping forever. Unfortunately, uncle sam has other plans and I’m off again. I use this as my daily driver, about 27 min each way, and have had zero issues- its a tank. If i were keeping I’d put a new exhaust on, only b/c the catalytic converter rattles inside so something inside is loose, I just haven't got around to it. VA inspection is good through Feb '19. The rear passenger window is slow to go down, so needs the stripping around the window replaced. The others are all good.
The previous owner passed on to me a tub of parts he used during his mods, the third row rear seats, and a tool kit of handy stuff along with a high lift jack. I added jack stands to that, and the few mods listed above.
i’m asking 12500, but will take OBO.
It's a beast of a machine and runs like a champ and really sorry to have to part with it, but just can’t justify storing while we’re overseas.
I have all records of the mods and everything from our local shop here that has kept her serviced.
