So my new to me 80 was throwing 21 code. Found wiring was damaged. I have a parts 80 so I cut the wiring for o2 sensor off old parts rig and cut damaged o2 wiring from my 93.

Question is the blue wire is a wire inside a wire. How to I splice that one?

Can I use heat shrink butt connectors or is there a better option? I’m now getting 25 code and I think it’s the blue wire double wire that is causing it.

As far as your splice I am not sure how to answer that.

As far as the connectors, I would use the butt connectors that have the solder built into them to get the best connection.

The blue wire has a wire in a wire. How do I splice that in?

It can be spliced, separate the inner and outer conductors, then splice them one buy one. use 2 small pieces of heat shrink to keep them from touching and then a large piece of heat shrink over the whole thing.

Thanks. Going to try that in am. With some good solder butt connectors and heat shrink cover

The blue wire is your O2 signal wire. It has a shielding jacket around it that only blocks EM interference.
The yellow/red is your heater+ wire.

You should have enough extra wire to put in a butt connector or solder/shrink wrap.

So on blue wire can I just cut the outside shelling wire and just connect the inner wires together with solder butt connector and shrink tube?

Yeap. I soldered and used shrink tube to cover my connections. I would cut the shielding cover back about a half inch from the joint so there's no chance of the shielding touching the signal wire.
