93 4x4 pickup, possible purchase. opinions?

I've been looking for a truck for a while now, just saw this popup on craigslist. I have not yet looked at it, going to call on it today. Looks decent from the pics.

Any opinions, thoughts? Anything specific I should look for?

I'd like it better with the 4cyl. Ask about service records. If it has a new clutch, timing belt, good brakes, tires and no issues, then it's worth considering. Look for rust in the frame, which probably won't be an issue there, and leaks from the engine and axles. Manual hubs up front are best-don't know if these came with the "auto" hubs or not.

Be sure to ask about the head gaskets.

Looks like a stripped truck, very few options. You will learn to hate that bench seat. We had one in a '94 Xcab, the cushion sags and it's very uncomfortable.

yep go straight to a yard and get some 4runner bucket seats they bolt right up, you just need 4 more bolts LOL.

I would ask him WHY its worth more than KBB. Did he throw a locker in there, or SAS it or something. If its just because has the tool box then he is a wacko. THe body looks clean, and if its from fresno or the valley i am sure there isnt any rust or cancer on that thing.

HAHA, test drive it to marlin crawler and see what he thinks. Afterall, you both are in fresno.
