Father in law has a 92 Capri and we need the extract the codes. I am not sure if we need a code reader or I can count the blinks on the check engine light? Anywho the damn disk he has is not worth 2 s***s and tells me nothing.

can anybody scan that part of the manual in?

Thank you:beer:

It looks like you get the engine up to operating temp, shut it off, turn the key back to on and wait ten seconds.

The codes will start to flash out.

They usually go first digit, quick pause, second digit, long pause.

of flash, flash, flash, pause, flash, flash, long pause. is 32.

Do I need to do a pin trick to a connecter like for example Toyota? I am not even sure where the box is, the plug in that is, again like Toyota(62)

I would not bother asking for help on this but the FSM from Ford is no longer, according to my father in law

My first car was an 82 Capri, that thing was a piece of s***, and I loved it dearly. Got worse mileage than my 62, and was as much of a dog from what I remember. Used to be able to backfire on command, till I disabled the AI system anyway. Drove that car till something major went internally in the 200 when I was way up north. Stripped everything of value I could off of it and left it with the local dismantler. :frown:

Moral of the story, RockDoc has no life and is bored enough to go looking into auto tech. :bang:
