92 tan/gold FJ80 cruiser with 33' tires, new Monroe shocks, full-size spare, newish alternator, distributor cap and rotor, wires, battery, repacked front wheel bearings and brakes about 5k miles ago, have most of the maintenance records. Ideally I want to sell it to someone with the money to keep this beast alive by putting a new tranny in (about a $4,000 expense unless you have the skills to do it yourself), rather than parting it out or taking it to a salvage yard. Just doesn't seem right. I'll try to post some pics this weekend.
Sorry but can't describe with more specificity the exact issue with the tranny, but I can provide the number to my mechanic who will explain the technical stuff to you.
