Doing some PM stuff on my recently bought '92 (3F-E with 115k miles) and want to know if I should replace the 02 sensor(s)? If so, are there any tricks, or do you just warm up the truck, unplug/unscrew the old and screw/plug the new?

Nope, that's basically it to switching the sensors though if I were you, I'd get some light oil and soak the area for a fews days first.

Pretty sure its just that easy, dunno about the warmup...don't burn yourself! I am in the process of doing the same thing. You should post up any noticed differences after the R&R. I hope it helps with MPG and a operating temp. Ben at Slee said the 3FE computers are a litttle dumb and sometimes won't give a check engine light or throw a code when the O2's are malfunctioning. Mine is possibly running a little rich on the fuel making it run hot??? Let us know how it goes 
Since the 92s have the stud style O2 sensor instead of the screw-in type, you will need to daily spray the nuts with some penetrating oil while they are slightly warm until you are ready to remove the old sensors. On our truck one of the nuts behind the little stainless shield was rusted so badly that it was corroded onto the stud. I had a mechanic remove the old stud and install a new one.
Other than that, it was just a general PITA to access the four nuts. I had to loosen up the vertical heat shield by the driver's door and then limber up my wrists so I could reach around to access some of the nuts.
I purchased one OEM O2 sensor and one Bosch from Autozone (cheaper). The external appearances were identical.

Okay thanks. I haven't even crawled underneath to try to find the things (there are 2, right?) but I thought they were screwed in to the pipe coming out of the catalytic converter.... Not right?
From what psfpilot wrote, it sounds like there's some kind of "bracket" or something that holds it on/in. Anybody by chance have a photo they can post so I can see what I'm looking for?

On your 92 w/ 3F-E the two sensors sit pre-cat on each exhaust downpipe from the exhaust manifold.

Thanks. I'm going to hold off a bit on the O2 sensors. I didn't realize they cost almost $250 for the pair! Got too many other MUST HAVE items I need to take care of on this truck first.
When I used to own my 92, one O2 was missing and the other was toast and the computer never gave a CEL.
