Thanks in advance for any help.

So I'm trying to get a 91 22re pickup 2wd 5spd to start, here's what I know...

Battery is charged
Starter was bench tested and was good
Ignition switch was replaced with no results
Starter relay was replaced with no results
Clutch start cancel switch appears fine
There is power at the starter just not at the solenoid(the wire that attaches to the solenoid)
Fuses are all good

Any ideas on what to try are greatly appreciated. I honestly have no idea where to go from here

Hmm... the starting circuit is very simple. Do you have a FSM with a wiring diagram? Seems like it should be easy to chase the sparks, see where it stops.

Check the ground strap from the engine to the chassis and the negative battery connection to the chassis - if either of these is not good, the circuit won't be complete.

Also, it's possible for the solenoid to stick intermittently, such that the bench test would be OK, but it might not work the next time you try it.

Good luck.

Sorry, missed that comment the first time - probably not a ground issue in that case.

If the wiring is the same as my '86, you can disconnect the relay and check for power at the connector when you turn the key (should be power at two of the pins simultaneously - don't remember which ones.

Good luck.
