Sorry to be a bother, but I am a bit confused about the 90K service (I actually have 102K so it's time). The service guide says to replace the timing belt, but there is nothing about the spark plugs, tensioners, packing bearings or other stuff that was mentioned on this site and others. At this point I'm thinking I should replace the water pump as well, but is it necessary? What are some of the other things that I should really get taken care of at this point. Thanks as always. I appreciate all the info on this site.

Spark plugs have a longer service interval than timing belt (120K miles on later years, IIRC?) . The tensioner and water pump are optional "while you're in there" jobs because you would have to re-do the whole timing belt job if either of those goes bad. It's more preventive maintenance than routine maintenance. You'll also consider flushing brake fluid, flushing coolant, and swapping transmission fluid at your current mileage. Differential/transfer case fluids too, if they haven't been done in a while. And then there's power steering fluid, but that's only if you want to be super meticulous and after all these other things have been taken care of first. Check your brake pads for thickness, wheel bearings for play, and ball joints for looseness. Check the last time your air filter and cabin filter were changed.

Really, much of your maintenance requirements will depend on what maintenance was done previously, and when.

Thanks fellas. Just what I needed. I'm thinking I could tackle a lot of these myself and just have my mechanic do the belt and pump. Don't have the equipment or skills for that.

For the first 90k belt you are probably fine with the belt and pump only. Second time around I would probably do tensioners, thermostat, seals, etc. Plugs are 120k. Coolant I believe is 100k but you will change that when you change the pump. Trans fluid is a "lifetime" fluid but we usually check and adjust at 100-120k.

A friend recommended a local mechanic with a good reputation. I ordered the parts and he said he would do the install for around 500 bucks. I think that's a fair deal. The shop I used to bring my Tacoma to must have changed ownership or something because they were unwilling to work with me if I brought my own parts and wanted 1700 for the job! I think Lexus dealership could have done it for that much. Anyway, thanks for the help and should have this out of the way next week. I hope I can then start thinking about some modifications for light off roading.
