Hello everyone hoping to get some input here or anyones 2cents as its the weekend and every shop is closed. i just swapped in a 8inch elocker out of a fj cruiser. i had a shop rebuild the diff and do all new bearings etc. e locker harness is from trail gear, all plug and play. i installed said rear axle and have noticed its stuck in the locked postion. i have put the car in neutral and messed with it slowly creeping forward or in reverse slightly turning to try to get it to unlock and only feel it biting the ground like the center diff lock would do on flat ground. roll it back and keep it in neutral and jack up the rear axle, and sure enough both tires spin the same direction, same speed. locked, im curious about the 9v trick people have done to unlock their diff but also want anybodies input. brand new diff i have to break it in but not while its locked like this. i have a spare actuator if you have any ideas or tricks i should try let me know. the switch ran on my car indicates the diff is unlocked but to no avail its 100% still locked. i can then "lock" it on the switch and hear the motor slowly whirl into locked postion. then hit the unlock and hear it slowly whirl back into position where the diff is still locked but the switch indicates its unlocked.🧐

it's possible the motor and fork aren't "timed" and kt just isn't pulling it all the way out.

pull the motor out and make sure it works right.

manually lock the locker. make sure its fully engaged.
lock the motor and reinstall.
